How to play
Objective
Combine matching tiles on a grid to reach the 2048 tile.
Basic Rules
- The Moves: Swipe (or use arrow keys or WASD keys) up, down, left, or right to move tiles.
- Tile Generation: Every time you move, a new tile (usually a 2 or a 4) appears in a random empty space.
How Matching Works
- When you slide tiles in a direction, all tiles move as far as they can in that direction until they hit the edge or another tile.
- If two tiles with the same number collide during a move, they merge into one tile with double the value (e.g., 2 + 2 = 4, 4 + 4 = 8).
- A single tile can only merge once per move.
Winning and Losing
- Win: Create the 2048 tile (though you can keep playing to reach higher numbers like 4096 or 8192).
- Game Over: The board fills up completely with no empty spaces left, and no adjacent tiles can merge in any direction.
